Wyoming Trip From Tara's Camera

Matt and the kids getting the pole ready.
Tucker taking a swim.
Taking a break on the trail

Abby cheesin for the camera.
Mazie crashed at the end of the trail. She even got to ride on daddy's shoulders the whole way. He should have been the one to crash.
Chris fishing on his rock.

Annie's 3 inch fish.

Here are my pics from the Wyoming trip. My camera was buried for most of the trip too. I've got to do better at keeping it right with me.

Just so you don't get confused

I changed the background.
Cute little Adria in her new life jacket. She was a little scared of the water, because daddy accidentally dumped her face first. He said he does it to make her stronger. We'll see. If she has the fear of water that I had when I was little, it doesn't work that way.
This was Kimberly's bed while we were camping. This time she fell asleep before I could put pants on her. So cute!
Adria likes feeding Kimberly. This was so helpfull while we were traveling.
Every body swimming in Soda Lake.

The top one is a picture of "Pilot Butte". Just another cool landmark. It is a platue, and you can also see this from my old house.
This is a picture of the "Wind River Mountains" that we went camping in. They are so awsome when you get up into them. If you ever want to go camping out of Utah, this is a great place to go. There are a ton of lakes up here, and they are all naturally formed. None of them are resevoirs made by man.
This picture is Boulder Lake, we camped near this lake.
This is Soda lake. We only came here for a little bit, because the sky turned grey and their was lightening, but they have a beach, and everyone went swimming in it. The water was so clear!

The rest of our little home.

The left side of our home, where you see the red fencing, was actually our root cellar. We had a pasture next to it also, and a few horses. I miss the country so much!!!! Living here in the suburbs has been a major adjustment for me. I hope someday, Chris and my family will be able to buy a good peice of property like this. It is just so peacefull in wyoming. I know its not the prettiest land, but even 15 years later, it is still so quiet and relaxing. They don't worry about all the negativity that we have in the cities. Their news covers, how much their produce and cattle stock are going to be at the time. It was so great to get a way from all the busyness around here.
This last picture is the senery that you see from my old house area. In the distance is the beginning of the largest moving sand mass in the united states. The sand dunes go on for miles, and they are so fun!!! They aren't anything compared to the ones here in Utah. I will get some pictures of us when we were little at the sand dunes and post them. Also in the distance is Bores tusk, it sticks out of the ground, and is really interesting looking. I couldn't get a good shot of either of them, so if you are ever in RockSprings Wyoming, go down yellowstone road, and you will see them in the distance. Bores tusk is an inactive volcano. It suprises me that wyoming is so desolate, because it has a lot of really cool landmarks.

Here is the mall that my mom used to work at. Last time I was here, a few years ago, it was really desolate inside, but it has filled up pretty well with a lot of stores and stuff. It still even smelled the same, and the flooring was the same too. I remember when I was little, I would jump around on the patterns on the floor. The mall allways seemed so big to me, but it really isn't that big. It was fun to see again.
This is the church we went to. I used to slide down those railings by the stairs. I can remember playing with my friend Heather on the grass right there too.

This gas station looks like any old gas station now, but it didn't use to be a gas station. It was called the Hitching Post. It was a little store that we used to stop by on our way into Rock Springs, about 3 miles from our house. It never sold gas before we moved from Wyoming. It just looked like a little western building. It is weird to see that they changed it. Here is our lovely little house that I grew up in. The house part, was a double wide mobile home, and then my parents later built onto the back of it, and put 2 bedrooms and a living room, plus a basement with the storage room, coal furnace room, and my parents master bedroom with a bathroom and walkin closet. The 3 door garage you see was also built on by my parents. I helped build the tresses for it when I was probably 11 or 12. Our yard was one of the prettiest yards also in the neighborhood. It doesn't look as awsome as it used to, but someone has been fixing it up, and it is looking a lot better than it did a few years ago. The front porch is different also. We had an awning covering the front dooor, and a porch swing. If I find some old pictures I will have to post them and show the difference. I liked it much better before, but I am thankfull that someone is living in it now, and making it look nice again. For a long time it was abandoned and run down, and condemed actually. That broke my heart, but I am feeling better about it now. So many fun memories here, when I was a little girl. That tree in the front was planted by my parents, and I used to go and talk to it, because I was told it was good for plants to be talked to, because they breath our oxogen. If you click on the picture and look closer at it, you will see the railroad ties in the front, that my parents put in also. They had a bunch of plants and flowers in the railroad ties and it looked so pretty. Somewhere in the side walk next to the porch, we all have our hand prints in it too.

Here is my dorky face! I got a picture of everyone else, I had to take one of me too, I guess. I was so excited to go through Rock Springs, I couldn't contain myself!

These windmills were awsome! They are so giant! If you have ever watched "war of the worlds", it gave me that same creepy feeling because of their size. We felt like they were pulling us into them. There were atleast 50 of them in this one area. I have a fear of heights, and a fear of large things, so maybe that is why they creeped me out so bad, but they were pretty cool!

Adria was happy to get on the road, she is a good traveler. She brought 4 dinosaurs and a doll. She is funny!
Little Kimberly probably wishes she could sit forward, but she does pretty good with traveling too. She loves Adria, and constantly watches her. Every once in a while, Adria will interact with her, and just get Kimberly laughing really hard. Its soooo cute! They are going to be cute little buddies!
Tucker did pretty good on the trip too. He is sticking his face in between my seat and the door, so he can get the fresh cool air coming in the window. It was pretty hot in the van when we left, and didn't get cool until we got to Rock Springs, Wyoming. It was about 10 degrees cooler. He had a lot of fun in the mountains and in the lakes and stuff. He is an outdoors boy!

So studly! This is my adorable husband, who had to put up with me being so excited that I rocked out the whole way. He just looked at me and smiled. We had a lot of fun making up lirics to the Enrique songs, that are done in spanish. "Don't turn out the lights" song, turned into "Don't forget the goose!" And "I can be your hero" turned into, "Looking for the skirt again", and "Where theres sweat, we sell perfume". If you listen to these songs in spanish, they sound just like what Chris and I made them sound like. It was so funny!!

This is partly why I love Chris so much, he is a fun Dad!!! Anything involving his little girls is important to him, and he wanted to help Adria sing the alphabet. My absolute favorite part is the very end. I giggle everytime I hear it. : )
I couldn't get Adria to singthem to me while she knew the camera was on so I did it sneaky. She just kept singing them over and over. Sometimes she will get this silly deep voice and pucker her lips while singing it. She is funny!
Adria is such a fun little dancer. I think this was my birthday when I recorded it. I have been waiting for highspeed internet so I could post it finally. If you look in the bottom right corner you can see little baby kimmy sleeping. So cute!!
